Akron Police Arrest 30-Year-Old, Seize Over 200 Grams of Methamphetamines and Stolen Handgun

Akron Police arrested a 30-year-old man on Wednesday morning, confiscating a significant quantity of drugs and a reportedly stolen firearm.

According to the Akron Police Department Anti-Violence Bureau, officers took Lexington Jacobs, 30, into custody without incident while executing a search warrant at a residence on the 2100 block of 22nd Street S.W.

The arrest followed an ongoing investigation into drug-related and criminal activities in a Kenmore area neighborhood.

During the operation, authorities seized 382 grams of methamphetamines, 47 grams of suspected fentanyl, 30 Xanax bars, 4 grams of crack cocaine, nearly $2,600 in cash, and a stolen handgun equipped with an extended magazine.

Jacobs now faces multiple charges, including one count of weapons under disability, two counts of trafficking, receiving stolen property, and drug possession.
