For nearly four decades, a local bakery has upheld its Fat Tuesday tradition, but rising ingredient costs are making it more challenging.

Bakery Unlimited’s head baker, Ryan Watson, emphasized the importance of Packzi Day, calling it their biggest day of the year.

“This is what we work for all year,” Watson said.

Despite inflation, the bakery has made a conscious effort to keep prices stable, even if it means taking a financial hit.

“We wanted to make sure people are paying the same price they always have,” Watson added.

For loyal customers, this commitment hasn’t gone unnoticed.

“It makes you want to spend your money here instead of somewhere else,” said Toledo resident Alyssa Harding.

The bakery remains dedicated to preserving its tradition while ensuring customers continue to enjoy their beloved treats at the same price.
