A Toledo man has been convicted of breaking into a home and assaulting a woman while she was sleeping.

Theodore Wilson, 25, was found guilty of burglary, gross sexual imposition, and pandering obscenity for an incident that occurred on August 8. Whitehouse Police responded to a home around 5:40 a.m. after the victim reported that an unknown man had entered her bedroom and touched her inappropriately before fleeing when she woke up. Investigators determined he had entered the house through a window.

Following a search, police apprehended Wilson, and the victim identified him as the intruder. Further investigation revealed that Wilson had taken an explicit photo of himself using the victim’s phone, with timestamps showing he had been inside the home for two hours. Officers also discovered two pairs of the victim’s underwear in Wilson’s vehicle.

Wilson had previously been accused of public indecency at Anthony Wayne High School in May 2023, but that charge was dismissed.

He is scheduled for sentencing on March 10.
